Soyatech, LLC -- SOUTHWEST HARBOR, ME -- December 21, 2010 -- Farm Profitability 2011, a single day conference organized by leading agriculture resource Soyatech, LLC, will include world champion soybean grower Kip Cullers from southwestern Missouri spearheading a discussion of how to maximize farm profitability through improved crop yields. Farm Profitability 2011 will be held on January 6, 2011 in Champaign, Illinois.
Kip Cullers broke his own record in 2010 by harvesting 160.6 bushels of soybeans per acre from his contest field (compared to the estimated 2009-2010 U.S. yield of approximately 44 bushels per acre) through application of his unique, innovative program of crop management. Mr. Cullers will address the potential for broader application of his techniques by other producers. Winners from the first Illinois Yield Challenge will also discuss how they improved their yields and accumulated data for researchers during the 2009/10 growing season.
