Garrett joins HighQuest Partners as managing director  (12.7.2011)

 DANVERS, MASS., December 7, 2011 – HighQuest Partners has announced the addition of Jamie Garrett as managing director, effective immediately.

Garrett will report to Tripp Lantz, the company’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer, and will have responsibility for originating and developing business opportunities across HighQuest Partners’ service offerings including consulting, advisory and events. Garrett also will support operational imperatives such as developing event content, and identifying and recruiting event speakers for the leading specialist strategy consulting firm focused on the global food, agribusiness, biofuels and biochemicals sectors.
“Jamie’s extensive global experience with strategic planning and financial structuring in the international agribusiness sector, coupled with her proven record of building steadfast strategic alliances, have allowed her to hit the ground running with HighQuest Partners,” said Lantz. “Our clients can look forward to unwavering consulting direction and the achievement of targeted stretch goals with the assistance of our newest managing director.”
Prior to joining HighQuest Partners, Garrett oversaw strategy, corporate development and merger and acquisition functions for Bunge Limited’s Food & Ingredients segment at its White Plains, N.Y., headquarters office. In addition to her executive experience, Garrett also worked in Bunge’s Global Markets and Financial Risk Management departments.
Before her years at Bunge, Garrett was a vice president at Louis Dreyfus Commodities in Wilton, Conn., where she was responsible for its agricultural financial risk management function. She also worked for Enron Corporation, working on business development in various capacities for its natural gas business and as a product manager for its energy consulting services business.
Garrett received her bachelor of arts degree from Tufts University and earned a masters of business administration from The Wharton School of Business, and a masters of art from the University of Pennsylvania. She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
