Enabling topline growth with risk management at Chicago Ag Club (9.13.2016)

CHICAGO, 9/13/16 – David Brown, vice president of Global Commodity Price & Risk Management for Global Procurement at Mondelēz International, will be the guest speaker at this month’s Chicago Ag Club luncheon, which will be held here Monday, September 26 at the University Club.

Brown, who is a 26-year veteran of the food and agribusiness industry, will present “How Risk Management Can Enable Topline Growth.” At Mondelēz International (formerly Kraft Foods), Brown and his global team manage over $7 billion in commodity risk, sourcing and sustainable agriculture for major materials such as cocoa, coffee, grains, edible oils, sweeteners, dairy products and nuts for Mondelez, a global snack food company with 110,000 employees and revenues of approximately $36B. A native of Decatur, Illinois, Brown holds a BS in agriculture from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from Auburn University.

The Chicago Ag Club is hosted by HighQuest Group, a strategic advisory, conference and media company serving businesses related to ag. The Ag Club seeks to bring together agribusiness and ag investing market participants to network, discuss important trends, and promote business success among regional stakeholders in cities from coast-to-coast.

The luncheon runs from noon to 2 p.m., with networking until 12:30 p.m., followed by lunch/speaker. The University Club is located at 76 E Monroe Street in Chicago. Registration is $75 per person and is requested by Friday, September 23 at Ag Club registration.
