HighQuest Announces Subsidiary Management Promotions

Press Release -- BAR HARBOR, ME -- Oct. 29, 2008 -- Soyatech, LLC, the global media, marketing, and event platform for the food, oilseed and agribusiness industries, announced today the appointment of Chris Erickson as Chief Executive Officer as well as the promotion of Joe Jordan to General Manager and Content Director and Keri Hayes to Publisher and Events Director.
Based in Bar Harbor, Maine, Soyatech is a wholly owned subsidiary of Topsfield, Massachusetts-based HighQuest Partners, LLC, which also has offices in St. Louis, Missouri.

Erickson joined HighQuest Partners in 2004 as Director of Finance and Operations and was promoted to Partner and Managing Director in 2007. He has been actively involved with Soyatech for the past three years, from evaluating and executing its potential acquisition by HighQuest to overseeing its integration into the HighQuest Partners portfolio of companies in January 2006. Since then, he has been instrumental in the establishment and execution of Soyatech’s growth strategy, optimizing the company’s brand position and operations, and launching new products.

Prior to joining HighQuest Partners, Erickson worked in business development at Fortune 500 companies Abbott and Cintas Corporation. He received an MBA from Georgia Southern University and a B.S. degree in Marketing from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

“Chris immediately recognized the growth potential of Soyatech’s global brand and the opportunity to extend the company beyond its roots in publishing established over the previous two decades,” commented Greg Mellinger, CEO of HighQuest Partners. “With Chris’ marketing expertise and keen strategic insights, Soyatech has evolved into an integrated media, marketing, and event company, supporting the global agribusiness, food, oilseed and transportation sectors for private, governmental and NGO entities. This promotion recognizes Chris’ leadership role within Soyatech and continues the process of building the executive team for future growth,” he added.

“I am very pleased to be part of the Soyatech team and look forward to further expanding the company’s global reach and important role in the industry,” Erickson commented.

As Soyatech’s General Manager and Content Director, Joe Jordan is responsible for Soyatech's news program, including the production of Soyatech eNews Daily and Soyatech eNews Weekly. He also oversees the Soyatech web site and production of webinars on the Soyatech platform. In addition, he is responsible for the content design and production at Soyatech events, including Soya & Oilseed Summit, the Global Soybean & Grain Transport Conference and Soyfoods2009. He speaks at industry events around the world for Soyatech.

Before joining Soyatech, Jordan was a freelance journalist for newspapers and magazines and ran a diversified family business.

In her new role as Publisher, Keri Hayes oversees the production of the annual Soya & Oilseed Bluebook directory and directs Soyatech’s sales and marketing efforts. As Events Director, she coordinates all of the logistics for Soyatech events around the world including the Soya & Oilseed Summit, Global Soybean & Grain Transport and Soyfoods2009. Her duties over the last 13 years have ranged from layout of the Soya & Oilseed Bluebook, designing the original Soyatech.com website, and assisting Soyatech clients with their marketing and media needs through advertising, conference participation and online recognition.
